January

I changed the look of the blog a little bit, because I want it to be spring!!! This winter has been a bit disappointing. I was looking forward to skiing and teaching Gavin to ski.

I've taken a position with Jet Blue in their Reservations department. I'm in my 2nd week of the 4 week training and things are going good. After I am finished with training I will be able to work from home which is a really nice perk.

Bella went through the right of passage that all kids do, and cut her hair. This ended up with her having bangs. They are not my favorite, but everyone says that they make her look so much older.

Gavin found his train table and BEGGED Greg to put it back together. We had it in the spare room, and he dragged it out to the living room. He is a determined boy! His reading is improving every day and so are his skills on the Wii.

Greg is plugging along with his work. He seems to be enjoying it and comes home in a happy mood, so that is always a plus. He's been such a trooper with this new job training. He has the kids all by himself from 6pm on. He's been an amazing "mister mom"

In Knitting News, I decided that I am not going to let myself work on anything new until I finish all of my UFO's (un-finished objects) I dragged out Bella's Ballet Sweater and finished that up this past week and now I am trudging my way through the crochet chevron blanket. I forgot how much I dislike crochet. Maybe that's why this particular project has sat in a bag in the back of the closet for almost a year!!! After that I have a sweater to finish up for me and then I can knit on socks that I've been itching to cast on for.

In Reading news, I am NOT doing so hot with Lord of the Rings. Like each time before, I can not keep interested in it. In the meantime, I read the last book in the Eragon Series, Inheritance and I picked up the old classic Dracula to read. I've never read it, but I've seen the ballet, and a Theatrical Stage production of it, so it's about time to read the book.

That's about as good of an update as I have for now. All of my pictures are on my phone, but when I get a free minute to load them to the computer, I'll post some pics of what we have been up to, but for now I have SEVERAL things I should be doing around the house instead of messing with the blog, so I am outta here!

I love crochet! I don't know how you handle the two needles. Congrats on the JetBlue job! I know a few people who do it and love it. We NEED to get together!!
